Derius also conducts life changing motivational speeches that are insightful, interactive, and filled with knowledge and wisdom. He is often described as an extraordinary, dynamic, highly engaging, high energy, gifted and informative motivational speaker and trainer. He is internationally recognized for his ability to connect and facilitate change with diverse groups and audiences.
Derius has received numerous awards and honors. Using non-traditional and innovative approaches are what led to Derius’ selection as one of only 13 individuals to represent the United States at the International Educational Fellowship Program in China. He has presented in China, South Africa, Barbados, the United States Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, New Mexico, California, South Carolina, Florida, Illinois, and other cities and communities throughout America and abroad.
Some of Derius’ many honors include the Kellogg Foundation’s United States-China Educational Institute Fellowship; the Outstanding Leadership Award, sponsored by Reader’s Digest; the Virginia Collaborative Leadership Program Award, and the 2006 New Mexico Amigo Award.
